To achieve an essentially uniform running of a garage door and to prevent damage to the motor and gear under load shocks which occur, the housing of the geared motor is mounted pivotably about the axis of the motor output shaft with a driving wheel arranged on it for the garage door and is fixed in a basic position by means of a restoring device which allows a limited pivoting movement of the housing in opposite directions and which has essentially elastically deformable elements. <IMAGE>

Es wird ein motorischer Torantrieb, insbesondere für ein Garagentor, angegeben, bei welchem zum Erzielen eines im wesentlichen gleichförmigen Laufs des Garagentors und zur Vermeidung von Beschädigungen an Motor und Getriebe bei auftretenden Laststößen das Gehäuse des Getriebemotors um die Achse der Motor-Abtriebswelle mit aufsitzendem Antriebsrad für das Garagentor schwenkbar gelagert und mittels einer eine begrenzte Schwenkbewegung des Gehäuses in entgegengesetzten Richtungen zulassenden Rückstellvorrichtung, die im wesentlichen elastisch verformbare Elemente aufweist, in einer Grundstellung fixiert ist.
