A bottle closure having rubber sleeves (7, 8) pressable by axial pressure against the inner wall surface of the bottle opening and guided on a spigot (5) extending through a closure cap (4) and bounded on one side by a spigot head (6), an eccentric lever (12) being rotatably mounted on and extending in fork-like manner around the spigot part (11) projecting outwards from the closure cap (4), the lever eccentric bearing on the outer surface of the closure cap, characterised in that journals (14) extend towards one another on the inside of the fork-like limb (13) of the eccentric lever (12) and engage in slot-like recesses (15) on the outside of the spigot part (11), the web thickness (16) of the spigot part (11) remaining near the recesses (15) being somewhat less than the distance (17) between the two end faces of the journals (14) and the substantially hemispherical recesses (15) merging on the side of the closure cap into a thinner spigot portion (18) corresponding to the web thickness (16).
