[origin: CA1188094A] "INNER LINING FOR SPORTS FOOTWEAR HAVING A RIGID OR SEMI-RIGID SHELL STRUCTURE" This lining consists of an assembly of flexible panels assembled to constitute a kind of slipper having two lateral pockets opening to the rear for introducing a one-piece padding into the pockets, this padding extending to the rear on either side of the lining. The two lateral pockets extend on both sides in the front portion of the lining and comprise at the rear a substantially vertical opening. Furthermore, the lining comprises an outer one-piece sheathing covering the lower rear portion of the upper, the heel and the lateral portions at the rear of the two front lateral pockets. This sheathing is fastened permanently to the upper along its upper edge and detachably, at least through its vertical edges, to the other portions of the lining, so as to cover the edges of the openings of the two front lateral pockets. La garniture est constituée d'un ensemble de panneaux souples assemblés entre eux de manière à former une sorte de chausson présentant deux poches latérales ouvertes vers l'arrière pour l'introduction d'un rembourrage en une pièce, s'étendant derrière la tige et de chaque côté de la garniture. Les deux poches latérales s'étendent de chaque côté, dans la partie antérieure de la garniture, et présentent une ouverture sensiblement verticale (7) vers l'arrière. La garniture comprend en outre une doublure extérieure (9), en une pièce, recouvrant la partie inférieure arrière de la tige, le talon et les parties latérales en arrière des deux poches latérales antérieures. La doublure (9) est attachée à la tige de manière permanente par son bord supérieur et fixée amoviblement, au moins par ses bords verticaux (22), au reste de la garniture, de manière à recouvrir les bords (7) des ouvertures des deux poches latérales antérieures. Le rembourrage en une pièce est logé amoviblement sous la doublure (9) et dans les poches latérales.
