[origin: EP0087225A1] The rotary thrower (19) for the bolts (25) of a safe door is driven from a wheel (16) through a bobbin-shaped member (18) keyed rotationally within the thrower but borne for limited axial movement therein. When the main bolts (25) are thrown, locks (31, 32) act to lock the thrower (19) by shooting their own bolts (33, 34) into apertures (35, 36) in the thrower; the lock bolts also shoot into a groove (37) in the bobbin (18) to withdraw that member from the wheel (16) and thus disengage the drive connection between the external handle (not shown) and the main bolts (25). A "relocker" bolt (41) is also provided and can be triggered by frangible plates (13, 14) to lock into an aperture (44) in the thrower (19) and engage in the groove (37) to maintain the bobbin (18) disengaged from the wheel (16), independently of the state of the primary locks (31, 32).
