Abstract (en)
The material (M) is passed in succession through a first impregnating bath (F1) containing a relatively small liquor volume and a second impregnating bath (F2) containing a relatively large liquor volume. A metering means (10a, 10b) controlled by a microprocessor (23) on the one hand replenishes in the first bath (F1) the chemical progressively consumed by the material and on the other, after a short running-in time, adjusts the chemical concentrations in the two baths to those equilibrium values which lead to the desired add-on. The equilibrium values are calculated from the rate of change of the bath concentrations during the running-in time. The process is managed in such a way that the desired add-on is quantitatively achieved essentially already in the first bath, while the function of the second bath is then essentially only to bring about a uniform distribution of the chemicals. The process makes possible a uniform, quantitatively defined and predictable add-on with very short running- in times, even for substantive chemicals. <IMAGE>

Die zu behandelnde Materialbahn (M) wird nacheinander durch ein erstes Imprägnierbad (F1) mit relativ kleinem Flottenvolumen und ein zweites Imprägnierbad (F2) mit relativ grossem Flottenvolumen geführt. Eine von einem Prozessrechner (23) gesteuerte Dosiereinrichtung (10a, 10b) ergänzt einerseits im ersten Bad (F1) den vom Materialdurchsatz abhängigen Chemikalienverbrauch und stellt anderseits die Chemikalienkonzentrationen in den beiden Bädern nach kurzer Anlaufzeit auf diejenigen Gleichgewichtswerte ein, die zum gewünschten Chemikalienauftrag führen. Die Gleichgewichtswerte werden aus der Aenderungsgeschwindigkeit der Badkonzentrationen während der Anlaufzeit berechnet. Das Verfahren ist so geführt, dass der gewünschte Chemikalienauftrag quantitativ im wesentlichen bereits im ersten Bad erreicht wird, im zweiten Bad erfolgt dann im wesentlichen nur noch eine gleichmässige Verteilung Chemikalien. Das Verfahren erlaubt bei kürzesten Anlaufzeiten einen gleichmässigen, mengenmässig definierten und vorhersagbaren Chemikalienauftrag auch für substantive Chemikalien.
