Cylinder lock comprising a stator (10) which surrounds a rotor (20), the latter having to be set in rotation with respect to the stator in order to allow the opening of the lock, a plurality of coaxial coding discs (40) each comprising a notch (41) on their periphery as well as members (49) adapted to bring about the rotation of each of the discs when one of the coding discs which is immediately adjacent thereto is in turn set in rotation over a given angle, a rotary member for the decoding of the discs (70) cooperating with one of the discs in order to bring about the rotation of the latter and a locking member (30) located between the rotor (20) and the stator (10) and adapted to penetrate the notches (41) of the coding discs when the latter are in alignment, characterised by the fact that : - the said locking member (30) is able to be moved between a locking position in which it prevents the rotation of the rotor (20) with respect to the stator (10) and a neutral position in which it penetrates the notches (41) in the coding discs and allows the rotation of the rotor and by the fact that - the rotary member (70) is able to move axially with respect to the position which it occupies at the time of decoding of the discs in order to ensure the rotation of the rotor (20) and the opening of the lock when the notches (41) provided on each of the discs are in alignment.
