[origin: US4509505A] Isolator for confining and transporting in a sterile atmosphere human beings and in particular babies, comprising a tight enclosure, ventilated by a forced fresh air circulation circulated by a first fan through an absolute inlet filter and an absolute outlet filter, rapid transfer devices which are sealed from the outside, tight intervention devices, certain of which form an integral part of the enclosure wall, wherein it comprises, between the fresh air inlet and outlet, a branch equipped with a second fan and a variable temperature heater element, said temperature being automatically limited to a maximum value of approximately 120 DEG C., so as to produce heating and setting to a reference temperature of the internal atmosphere by the partial recycling thereof, all the energy necessary for the operation of the installation being provided by an autonomous accumulator battery, which can be that of the transportation vehicle.

Abstract (fr)

Installation pour le confinement et le transport en atmosphère stérile d'êtres humains, et notamment de nouveau-nés (2). Elle comporte une enceinte étanche (1) ventilée par une circulation forcée d'air frais mise en mouvement par un premier ventilateur (8) au travers d'un filtre d'entrée (6) et d'un filtre de sortie (7) et, entre l'entrée et la sortie d'air frais, une dérivation (10) munie d'un second ventilateur (11) et d'un élément de chauffe à température variable (12), limitée automatiquement à une valeur maximale de l'ordre de 120°C, de façon à créer un réchauffage et une régulation à une température de consigne de l'atmosphère interne par recyclage partiel de celle-ci, la totalité de l'énergie nécessaire au fonctionnement de l'installation étant fournie par une batterie d'accumulateurs autonome (14) pouvant être celle du véhicule de transport.
