A bath of traditional shape or of the "hip" type which is made accessible to persons with reduced mobility in the following manner: it comprises, to facilitate access to its seat or to its bottom (2), a movable part (4) which, in a first position, completes or itself forms the shell (1) of the bath so as to enable it to be filled with water and to be used in the normal manner, and which, in a second position, reveals an opening or a side access space (3) located on one side of the seat or of the bottom of the bath. <IMAGE>

Une baignoire de forme traditionnelle ou du type "sabot" est rendue accessible aux personnes à motilité réduite de la façon suivante: elle comprend, pour faciliter l'accès à son siège ou à son fond (2), une partie mobile (4) qui, dans une première position, complète ou constitue elle-même la coque (1) de la baignoire de manière à permettre son remplissage d'eau et son utilisation normale et qui, dans une seconde position, dégage une ouverture ou un espace latéral d'accès (3) situé sur un côté du siège ou du fond de la baignoire.
