[origin: WO8301025A1] The welding support may be fabricated from sheet metal by cutting and bending. It has an inner working surface which is either quadrangular and closed or open for the welding on all the sides of a tool. Holding and current conducting bars are arranged on the two opposite sides of the working surface. A reinforcement band extends perpendicularly to the working surface, on the two other sides of the latter. The invention is characterized in that each band being in its plane, it has closure edges turned towards the bars. Thereby, the stamping operation may be eliminated when producing the support.

Support de soudage pouvant être fabriqué à partir d'une tôle, par découpage et pliage. Il présente une surface de travail interne soit quadrangulaire et fermée, soit ouverte pour le soudage sur tous les côtés d'un outil. Des barres de maintien et de conduction du courant sont disposées sur deux côtés opposés de la surface de travail. Une bande de renforcement s'étend perpendiculairement à la surface de travail, sur les deux autres côtés de celle-ci. L'invention réside en ce que chaque bande étant dans son plan, elle présente des bords de fermeture tournés vers les barres. De cette manière, l'opération de frappe peut être supprimée lors de la fabrication du support.
