In a self-propelling compacting apparatus comprising at least two shafts, which are driven in opposite senses from a common drive via addition gears, are provided with unbalances, have axes lying on a vibrator plate or the like transverse to the general direction of movement, it being possible for the shafts provided with unbalances to be phase shifted together with their unbalances relative to one another by a common adjusting member from the additional inputs of the addition gears, and the reactive forces transmitted from the additional inputs to the common adjusting member being superimposed subtractively on the adjusting member, it is proposed that the addition gears are constructed as spur-gear planetary mechanisms. <IMAGE>

Bei einem selbstbeweglichem Verdichtungsgerät umfassend mindestens zwei über Additionsgetriebe von einem gemeinsamen Antrieb her gegenläufig angetriebene mit Unwuchten behaftete Wellen mit quer zur allgemeinen Bewegungsrichtung liegenden Achsen auf einer Rüttelplatte oder dgl., wobei die unwuchbehafteten Wellen mit ihren Unwuchten relativ zueinander von einem gemeinsamen Stellorgan aus über zusätzliche Eingänge der Additionsgetriebe phasenverstellbar sind und die von den zusätzlichen Eingängen auf das gemeinsame Stellorgan übertragenen Reaktionskräfte sich an dem Stellorgan subtraktiv überlagern, wird vorgeschlagen, daß die Additionsgetriebe als Stirnradplanetengetriebe ausgebildet sind.
