Abstract (en)
1. Method for supervising the production quality of glass containers (2) coming from a glass manufacturing machine (1) being of one or more different kinds, which glass containers carrying an automatically readable code showing the design of the containers which depends from the kind of the glass manufacturing machine, run through a cooling oven (6) by loosing their manufacturing turn, whereby the containers (2) after being isolated are transported to a code reading device (10) behind the cooling oven (6), which code reading device transfers the code of each of the containers (2) in the turn in which the containers pass the code reading device to a computer (15), and whereby the containers (2) are transported to one or more inspection machines (11, 12) by means of which defective containers (2) may be sorted out in a turn of the isolated containers (2) and the informations produced in the inspection machine or inspection machines (11, 12) respectively are processed in the turn of the isolated containers (2) in the computer (15) in order to get a failure analysis, characterised in that the code reading device (10) is located behind the cooling oven (6) and the code indicating the design of each of the containers (2) is stored into the computer (15) in the turn assigned to the code reading device (10), that before reading the code or following same, groups (2') with container intervals between are made from an alternative number of containers (2) by means of a stop device (13) controlled by the computer (15) or mechanically, that following making the groups and with the intervals in connection therewith the containers (2) are conveyed to the inspection machine or machines (11, 12) respectively and in order to receive a failure trend the informations coming from the inspection machine or machines (11, 12) are processed in the computer (15) by using the code indicating the design of the container stored in the computer for the respective group (2') of containers, whereby a long pause of such informations indicates an interval to the computer (15) by means of which the computer (15) indicates the relationship between the read codes indicating the design of the containers and tested containers.
