[origin: US4485599A] The present invention relates to a process for making false ceilings comprising a series of parallel strips of fabric of reduced width, reinforced transversely, tensioned longitudinally and oriented vertically in a mean horizontal plane located at an appropriate height below the ceiling of the construction, wherein each strip is tensioned individually and independently of those strips which surround it. The invention also relates to the false ceiling made by carrying out said process.

Le faux plafond est constitué par une série de bandes parallèles (4) de tissu, avantageusement en fibres de verre, raidies transversalement à leur extrémités et fixées individuellement sous tension à deux parois (1) du local, au-dessous du plafond (2). Le brevet décrit en détail les mécanismes prévus aux extrémités de chaque bande pour assurer le raidissement des bandes, leur tension longitudinale individuelle et leur fixation à des crémaillères (3) fixées aux parois (1). Entre leurs extrémités les bandes (4) peuvent être renvoyées par des barres verticales pour l'obtention de dessins.
