[origin: US4536915A] A machine for truing the collectors or other rotating contact members of a motor, comprises a tool-holder carriage adapted to be fixed either against a brush-holder support associated with the collector or rotor, or against the face of the lower access opening of the casing of the motor, the engagement being provided by a connector coupled to the frame. Truing is effected by an abrasive stone driven in reciprocating motion along the collector. A double blowing and suction nozzle eliminates the dust. A brush and a sensor may be mounted on the carriage to eliminate the adherent dust and monitor eccentricity. The carriage is borne by a pivotable fork, by a parallelogram and by a double carriage rolling in a pit beneath the railway track.

Une machine pour la rectification des collecteurs, ou autres organes de contact tournants comprend un chariot porte-outil propre à se fixer soit contre le support (47) d'un porte-balai associé au collecteur ou rotor (31), soit contre la face de l'ouverture inférieure (36) du carter du moteur. A cet effet on lui fait comporter d'une part une liaison (42), d'autre part un cadre extérieur (35). La rectification s'opère par une pierre abrasive (30) entraînée en va-et-vient le long du collecteur. Une tuyère double de soufflahe et d'aspiration (32) élimine les poussières. Une brosse et un tâteur peuvent être montés sur le chariot pour éliminer les poussières adhérentes et vérifier la rectification. Tout l'ensemble est porté par une fourche orientale (20), par un parallélogramme (17) et par un chariot double (6-11) roulant dans une fosse au-dessous de la voie du chemin de fer (4).
