[origin: US4633623A] Sand blasting nozzle, particularly for the decontamination of radioactive members by means of a jet formed from a mixture of water and abrasive particles. It comprises an intake device able to produce a flat water jet, having an aperture angle alpha in the plane of the jet, within a vacuum chamber, a discharge member having in planes perpendicular to the flat jet, two divergent side walls substantially of aperture alpha and, on either side of the flat jet, two convergent walls forming an angle beta , said discharge member forming an integral part of the vacuum chamber, and the angle beta being defined in such a way that within the chamber is produced an adequate vacuum to ensure that the flat jet entrains the abrasive particles introduced by a pipe carrying a mixture of gas and abrasive particles.

Buse de sablage, notamment pour la décontamination de pièces radioactives au moyen d'un jet formé d'un mélange d'eau et de particules abrasives. Elle comporte un dispositif d'entrée (18) apte à engendrer un jet d'eau plat, d'angle d'ouverture α dans le plan du jet, à l'intérieur d'une chambre à dépression (6, 8, 9), un organe de sortie présentant dans des plans perpendiculaires au jet plat, deux parois latérales divergentes (26b) sensiblement d'ouvertire α et, de part et d'autre du jet plat, deux parois convergentes (26c) formant un angle β, ledit organe de sortie faisant partie intégrante de la chambre à dépression, et l'angle β étant déterminé de manière telle qu'il se produise dans la chambre une dépression suffisante pour que le jet plat entraîne les particules abrasives introduites par une canalisation véhiculant un mélange gaz-particules abrasives.
