This burner is of the type comprising a heating member (13), in the form of a metal basin, equipped with a gas supply system (14), in which there is mounted a support (15) of the catalytic mass, the active mass or catalytic mass and a holding frame (17) for the assembly. Ce brûleur est du type comprenant un corps de chauffe (13), en forme de cuvette métallique, équipé d'un système (14) d'amenée du gaz, dans lequel est monté un support (15) de la masse catalytique, la masse active ou masse catalytique et un cadre de maintien (17) de l'ensemble. Selon l'invention, les propriétés de la masse catalytique (16) sont telles que celle-ci remplit également la fonction de système de diffusion.
