[origin: US4493182A] The driving device for the twisting head of an SZ stranding machine assures short switching times with little equipment even for a multi-step change of the rotary motion by associating with one or both magnetic clutches of the twisting head either one driving shaft rotating at changing speed, or at least two driving shafts revolving at constant speed and each having a magnetic clutch for coupling rotation to the twisting head clutch.

Die Antriebseinrichtung für den Verseilkopf einer SZ-Verseilmaschine soll gewährleisten, dass auch bei mehrstufigem Wechsel der Drehbewegung kurze Umsteuerzeiten und geringer konstruktiver Aufwand gewährleistet sind. Zu diesem Zweck ist der einen oder beiden Magnetkupplungen (7, 8) des Verseilkopfes (3) entweder eine mit wechselnder Drehzahl umlaufende Antriebswelle zugeordnet, oder es sind wenigstens zwei gleichförmig umlaufende Antriebswellen (13 und 16) vorgesehen, die über Kupplungen (17 bis 24) der einen oder gegebenenfalls beiden Magnetkupplungen zugeordnet sind.
