[origin: US4512028A] The electronic scanner serves to monitor a multitude of thread running locations in a textile machine in which a measuring head for detecting a thread rupture or breakage, a bistable controller and switching means are arranged at each thread running location. A clock pulse generator acts upon the clock pulse inputs of the bistable controllers which are series connected and which interrogate or scan the measuring heads via the switching means in a cyclical sequence. The signals obtained from the measuring heads during interrogation or scanning are delivered to a counting circuit via a signal line and a clock-pulse controlled gate. The counting circuit indicates the thread running location associated with a thread rupture.

Die elektronische Abfrageeinrichtung dient zur Überwachung einer Vielzahl von Fadenlaufstellen an einer Textilmaschine, wobei an jeder Fadenlaufstelle ein Messkopf (Ml bis Mn) zur Feststellung eines Fadenbruchs, ein bistabiles Steuermittel (Fl bis Fn) und ein Schaltmittel (Sl bis Sn) angeordnet sind. Ein Taktgeber (CL) wirkt auf die Takteingänge (Cl bis Cn) der in Serie geschalteten Steuermittel (Fl bis Fn), die über die Schaltmittel (Sl bis Sn) die Messköpfe (Ml bis Mn) in zykiischer Folge abfragen. Die beim Abfragen gewonnenen Signale aus den Messköpfen (Ml bis Mn) werden über eine Signalleitung (SL) und ein taktgesteuertes Tor (Al) einer Zählschaltung (JS) zugeführt, die bei einem Fadenbruch die zugehörige Fadenlaufstelle anzeigt.
