Abstract (en)
A dual pressure turbine has radial impulse stages (73,74,75) driven by higher pressure working fluid, and axial flow stages (76) driven by lower pressure working fluid, which may be the fluid exhausted from the last radial impulse stage. The rotors of all the stages are coupled coaxially into a unitary rotary unit.
