1. Armrest for seat furniture, especially for office seat furniture with a central standing column, with a U-shaped supporting bracket (1) with a tubular cross-section and two legs (5, 6) pointing upwards, and with an arm support (2) having two connecting pieces (3, 4) which point downwards and which engage into the leg orifices (7, 8) of the legs (5, 6) of the supporting bracket (1), characterised in that the arm support (2) is made flexurally rigid in the arm-resting region (K) and flexurally pliable at the connecting pieces (3, 4), in that the connecting pieces (3, 4) are made symmetrically wedge-shaped in the edge region of the supporting bracket (1), the width of the wedge decreasing from a value above to a value below the value of the inside diameter of the receiving part of the leg orifices (7, 8) of the supporting bracket (1), and in that there is at the end of each of the connecting pieces (3, 4), which is located within the appropriate leg (5, 6) of the supporting bracket (1), a resilient retaining clip (9, 10) which is supported, on the one hand, on the connecting piece (3, 4) and, on the other hand, on the inner wall of the appropriate leg (5, 6) of the supporting bracket (1).

Die Armlehne für ein Sitzmöbel besteht aus einem nach unten weisenden U-förmigen Armträger (2), der mit den Schenkeln (5, 6) eines nach oben weisenden U-förmigen Trägerbügels (1) steckbar verbunden ist, so dass sich eine Ringarmlehne ergibt. Die festsitzende und dennoch leicht montierbare und demontierbare, und gleichzeitig kostengünstig herstellbare Steckverbindung wird dadurch gewährleistet, dass der Armträger (2) im Armauflagebereich (K) biegesteif und an seinen Enden biegeweich ausgebildet ist, dieverbindungsstücke (3, 4) konisch sind, und an den Enden der Verbindungsstücke (3, 4) Halteklammern (9, 10) vorgesehen sind.
