[origin: US4437385A] A control system for controlling a double-acting cylinder includes four pilot-operated, proportional-type poppet valves for controlling fluid flow between the cylinder, a pump and a reservoir. Four solenoid-controlled pilot valves operate the poppet valves in response to error signals generated by a control circuit. The control circuit receives a cylinder position feedback signal and an operator-generated command signal. The control circuit provides for float, shutdown, variable deadband and pressure adjustment operation.

Est ist eine Anordnung zum Steuern eines Zylinders (10) vorgesehen, dessen beide Kammer (11,13) über eine Ventileinrichtung (12) mit einer hydraulischen Druckquelle (14) und einem Sumpf (16) verbunden sind, wobei die Ventileinrichtung (12) vier unabhängig betätigbare elektrisch gesteuerte Druckminderungsventile (20a, 20b, 20c, 20d) enthält, welche die Strömung zwischen dem Zylinder (10) der Pumpe (14) und dem Sumpf (16) steuern. Den vier Ventilen (20a, 20b, 20c, 20d) sind durch Elektromagnete (21a, 21b, 21c, 21d) betätigbare Vorsteuerventile zugeordnet, welche über einen Steuerkreis (30) in Abhängigkeit von Fehlersignalen betätigt werden. Der Steuerkreis (30) empfängt zur Erzeugung des Fehlersignals ein die Ist-Position des Zylinders wiedergebendes Rückführungsventil und ein die Soll-Stellung wiedergebendes, durch die Bedieungsperson erzeugtes, Ventil. Der Steuerkreis ermöglicht auch die Erzeugung eines schwimmenden Zustandes des Zylinders, eine Gesamtabshaltung aller Ventile sowie verschiedene Einstellfunktionen.
