Bei einem Mehrweg-Schalthebel, dessen Schaltachse (20) aus der Grundstellung gegen eine Rückstellkraft in mehrere Richtungen verschwenkbar ist, um diesen Richtungen zugeordnete Steuerelemente zu betätigen, ist ein von der Schaltachse (20) koaxial durchsetzter Permanent-Magnetring (12) vorgesehen, der zur Erzeugung der Rückstellkraft auf eine an der Schaltachse (20) befestigte ferromagnetische Taumelscheibe (24) einwirkt. Die permanentmagnetische Rückstellung macht den Schalthebel weitgehend verschleiß- und ermüdungsfrei.
