[origin: WO8301377A1] An ostomy bag for the collection of drainage substances from an opening in the abdomen, caused by a surgical operation, may be supplied with an excess-pressure valve, which consists of a valve housing (3) fastened to the wall of the bag (1) and with an inlet opening (4) for the gases from the interior of the bag as well as a vent hole (6). Inside the housing there is a vent seat (10) running round the opening (4). Against this seat (10) a disc-shaped vent body (8) is continuously pressed by means of a number of elastic flaps (7) to allow an outlet through the vent of any excess-pressure in the bag. In this way the pressure in the bag can be regulated, and a suitable back-pressure for the intestinal function achieved, securing a closing of the outlet opening when the valve is in its closed position. This means that no leaking out of fluid can take place. In order to deodorize the gases a carbon filter can be mounted round the outlet opening, which filter the gases must pass.

Un sac d'ostéotomie pour la récupération de substances de drainage sortant par une ouverture pratiquée dans l'abdomen, lors d'une opération chirurgicale, peut être pourvu d'une soupape d'excès de pression qui consiste en un corps de soupape (3) fixé sur la paroi du sac (1) et avec une ouverture d'entrée (4) pour les gaz de l'intérieur du sac ainsi qu'un orifice d'évent (6). A l'intérieur du corps ou de l'enceinte de la soupape se trouve un siège d'évent (6) courant autour de l'ouverture (4). Un corps d'évent en forme de disque (8) est comprimé de manière continue contre ce siège (10) à l'aide de plusieurs éléments élastiques (7) pour permettre une sortie au travers de l'évent des pressions excessives régnant dans le sac. De cette manière il est possible de réguler la pression dans le sac et il est possible d'obtenir une contre-pression appropriée pour la fonction intestinale, en assurant une fermeture de l'ouverture de sortie lorsque la soupape se trouve dans sa position fermée. Ceci signifie qu'il n'y a aucune fuite de fluide. De manière à désodoriser les gaz, un filtre à charbon peut être monté autour de l'ouverture de sortie, filtre par lequel les gaz doivent passer.
