Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0091516A1] 1. An ink writing implement having a casing (8) serving to hold an ink cartridge or ink and to handle the writing implement, and also having a non-interchangeable recording element, in which a capillary duct is arranged between the ink reservoir and a lamellar slide point, in which the capillary duct and the lamellar slide point are wrapped by a cone-shaped plastics component tapering towards the slide point, and in which the lamellar slide point is resiliently mounted, characterized in that the lamellar slide point is a ball (3) of a wear-resistant metal, that the ball (3) is welded to one end of a syphon (2), that the ball (3) and a part of the syphon (2) are provided with a number of longitudinally extending capillary slits, that the other end portion (2.2) of the syphon (2) is cone-shaped, that the implement includes an ink feeder (1) provided at its front end with a cone-shaped recess (1.1) to accommodate the cone-shaped end portion (2.2) of the syphon (2), that the cone angle of the recess (1.1) in the ink feeder (1) exceeds that of the cone-shaped end portion (2.2) of the syphon (2) by some 10 degrees, that the implement also includes a holder which surrounds the syphon (2), gimbally joins it to the ink feeder (1) and permits it to be radially resiliently deflected, and in that the capillary duct (4) extends from the capillary ink tube (1.3) of the ink feeder (1) through a central bore (1.5) thereof and through the syphon (2) to the ball (3).
