[origin: WO8303280A1] The safety system according to the present invention comprises in the gas flowing line, between the entrainment source of liquids and the flare stack tip or the vent, at least a capacity such as a flare foot balloon (1), provided with at least an overflow column (4) opening under a liquid level (5, 6), e.g. , at a predetermined distance from its tapping (11) on the capacity. Additionally it comprises means (7) which allow to avoid, in case of a discharge of liquid into the overflow column (4), the retention and the entrapment of gas in the discharge liquid or under said liquid. The invention applies particularly to the safety of offshore hydrocarbon production installations.

Le système de sécurité selon l'invention comprend dans la chaîne d'ecoulement des gaz, entre la source d'entraînement de liquides et le nez de la torche ou de l'évent, au moins une capacité telle qu'un ballon de pied de torche 1, munie d'au moins une colonne de trop plein 4 débouchant en dessous d'un niveau de liquide 5, 6, par exemple la mer, à une distance prédéterminée de son piquage 11 sur la capacite. Il comprend en outre des moyens 7, permettant d'éviter, en cas de déversement de liquide dans la colonne de trop plein 4, la rétention et le piégeage de gaz dans le liquide déversé ou en dessous dudit liquide. L'invention s'applique notamment à la sécurité des installations de production d'hydrocarbures en mer.
