[origin: US4482241A] In the device and method of the present invention, a stripping roller is positioned a short distance from an electrostatically charged photoconductor surface in an electrophotocopy machine. The roller is supplied with a bias voltage which has a polarity the same as that of the charge on the photoconductor surface and a magnitude which is equal to or higher than that of the photoconductor surface charge, but greater than 1 kV. The photoconductor surface is moved past the stripping roller to remove excess developer liquid.

Die Erfindung weist eine Trommel (1) mit einem Fotoleiter (21) auf. Um den Umfang der Trommel (1) sind eine Gleichstromkorona mit einer Hochspannungsversorgungsschaltung (15), eine Belichtungsstation (3), eine Entwicklungsstation (22) mit einer Elektrode (4) und einer Wanne (5) mit Entwicklerflüssigkeit, eine Dosierwalze (6), eine Bildübertragungsstation (16) mit Übertragungskorona (9) und Heizvorrichtung (10), eine Reinigungsvorrichtung (11, 12) und eine weitere Aufladeeinrichtung (13), beispielsweise eine Wechselstromkorona oder Löschlampe, angeordnet. Eine Wischerlippe (7) reinigt die Dosierwalze (6), die auf eine Spannung von etwa + 1,5 bis + 2,0 kV gelegt wird, wenn der Fotoleiter (21) aus Seien besteht. Im Falle eines organischen Fotoleiters wird eine Spannung der gleichen Größenordnung, jedoch mit negativer Polarität, an die Dosierwalze (6) gelegt. Die einzelnen Papierblätter (8) werden in der Übertragungsstation (16) einem Behälter (25) entnommen.
