1. A belt-box (8) for a light-blocking device, in which the light-blocking device has a roller shutter (2), a roller shutter box (3), a drum (4) fitted into the roller shutter box to wind up the roller shutter, and a main reel (5) provided on the drum for a belt (6) to actuate the roller shutter, and the belt-box (8) is equipped with a counter-reel (7) for the belt, an electric motor (12) coupled to reduction gearing (13) to drive the counter-reel, and a switch to operate the electric motor, characterized in that to adapt the dimensions of the belt-box to the dimensions of purely mechanical belt-boxes the electric motor (12) has an output of less than 50 watts, preferably less than 15 watts, and the reduction gearing (13) has a large reduction ratio, and that a central control unit (20) is built into the front face of the belt-box (8) with a timer (clock unit) (22) to control the electric motor (12), and a control panel (21) for the central control unit (20) and an indicator panel of the timer (22) are located on the front face of the belt-box (8).

Bei einer Verdunkelungsvorrichtung (1), mit einem Rolladen (2), einem Rolladenkasten (3), einer in dem Rolladenkasten (3) angeordneten Walze (4) zum Aufwickeln des Rolladens (2), einer an der Walze (4) vorgesehenen Haupthaspel (5) für ein Gurtband (6) zur Betätigung des Rolladens (2), einer Gegenhaspel (7) für das Gurtband (6) und einem Gurtkasten (8) zur Aufnahme der Gegenhaspel (7), bei der beim Heraufziehen und Aufwickeln des Rolladens (2) auf die Walze (4) ein Abwickeln des Gurtbandes (6) von der Haupthaspel (5) und ein Aufwickeln auf die Gegenhaspel (7) und umgekehrt erfolgt und bei der ein Elektromotor (12) zum Antrieb der Gegenhaspel (7) vorgesehen ist, ist eine kostengünstige Herstellung und ein kostengünstiger Einbau sowie eine einfache Nachrüstung und ein einfacher Austausch gegen vorhandene Gurtkästen handbetätigter Verdunkelungsvorrichtungen möglich, indem der Gurtkasten (8) in seinen Abmessungen den Abmessungen bekannter rein mechanischer Gurtkästen entspricht und indem der Elektromotor eine Leistung von weniger als 50 W, vorzugsweise von weniger als 15 W, aufweist und insbesondere als Gleichstrommotor ausgeführt ist.
