Es wird eine Mikrotiterplatte beschrieben, bei der Rand (2) und Mittelteil (1) durch einen umlaufenden Durchbruch (4) voneinander getrennt sind, so daß beim Erwärmen Temperaturunterschiede zwischen Gefäßen (8) am Rand und solchen in der Mitte vermieden werden, die den bekannten «Rahmeneffekt» (edge effect) verursachen.
