The gas generator, especially a wood gas generator, has a double jacket (1,2), whose gap takes up the gas stream generated, and a gasification air feed (4) which is fixed to the inner jacket (1). In order to ensure that, in spite of large differences in expansion between the inner and outer jackets (1,2) in the region of the gasification air feed (4), the joint is such that neither air can penetrate into the gas-filled gap of the double jacket nor gas into the gasification air feed (4), the gasification air feed (4) is connected gas-tight via a flexible metal hose (10) to the outer jacket (2).

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Gasgenerator, insbesondere Holzgasgenerator, mit einem Doppelmantel (1, 2), dessen Spalt den erzeugten Gasstrom aufnimmt, und einer Vergasugsluftzuführung (4), die am Innenmantel (1) befestigt ist. Damit trotz großer Dehnungsunterschiede zwischen Innen- und Außenmantel (1, 2) im Bereich der Vergasungsluftzuführung (4) eine Verbindung derart vorhanden ist, daß weder Luft in den gasgefüllten Spalt des Doppelmantels, noch Gas in die Vergasungsluftzuführung (4) eindringen kann, ist die Vergasungsluftzuführung (4) über einen flexiblen Metallschlauch (10) gasdicht mit dem Außenmantel (2) verbunden.
