Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0093327A2] 1. Electric rotary switch with a housing open on one side in which is fastened a contact spring (10) simultaneously providing latching, and with an actuating element (3) which is pivoted in a bearing opening of the housing wall, the housing of the rotary switch being formed from two identical housing half shells (1) able to be joined together, in which in the joining direction in each case an identical contact spring (10) is fastened, in a flat adjoining manner, which springs are opposite each other when the housing is joined together, and wherein between both contact spring arms (13) a radially protruding trip cam (16) of the actuating element, arranged between the housing half shells, is able to be introduced in order to bring both contact spring arms (13) into contact with each other or out of contact, by an axial deflection relative to the actuating element (3), characterised in that only the free ends of the contact spring arms (13) aligned on each other are opposite each other, that the free end of the contact spring arm (13) has at least one distanced contact element (15), deflected at a right angle, which is tilted in such a way that the contact element (15) crosses with the opposing one, and that the contact spring arm (13) having two contact elements (15) has, between the contact elements (15), a stamped and therefore protruding latch (18) which interacts with a latching hollow (17) in the trip cam (16) in the sense of locking.
