[origin: WO8301741A1] A catheter-type device (10) comprises an outer tubular member (11), and an inner elongate member (12) extending within said outer tubular member coaxially therewith, the outer tubular member being provided at one end thereof with a resilient tubular sleeve (13) extending axially therefrom. The inner member is adapted to move axially with respect to the outer tubular member and the resilient tubular sleeve so that in use, one end thereof can be extended axially outwardly of the outer tubular member and the resilient tubular sleeve to obtain a sample from or to administer treatment at a selected site within a human or animal body.

Un dispositif du type à cathéter (10) comprend un organe tubulaire extérieur (11) et un organe allongé intérieur (12) s'étendant coaxialement à l'intérieur de l'organe tubulaire extérieur, ce dernier étant pourvu à une extrémité d'une chemise élastique tubulaire (13) s'étendant axialement par rapport à l'organe. L'organe intérieur peut se déplacer axialement par rapport à l'organe tubulaire extérieur et à la chemise tubulaire élastique de sorte que lors de l'utilisation, une des extrémités peut s'étendre axialement vers l'extérieur de l'organe tubulaire extérieur et de la chemise tubulaire élastique pour prélever un échantillon ou administrer un traitement à un endroit sélectionner d'un corps humain ou d'un animal.
