Abstract (en)
The continuous combustion piston engine has a number of cylinders arranged around a central drive shaft (1), with the cylinder axes inclinable to the shaft axis. Each cylinder has a piston which drives a separate crankshaft (10). Each crankshaft has a bevel pinion (8) which engages a bevel wheel (7) rigidly connected to a stationary housing (5). The cylinder and piston assembly rotates with the drive shaft at half the speed of the separate crankshafts. Cylinder ports (15) are aligned alternately with inlet (3) and exhaust ducts (16). The inlet duct communicates with the continuously operating combustion chamber.

Der Motor besteht aus einem sich um die Antriebswelle (1) drehenden Zylinderblock (4) und Kammern von veränderlichem Volumen (14), die von üblichen Mitteln wie Kolben, Pleuelstange, Kurbelwelle gebildet werden, wobei das Ganze in ein Gehäuse (5) und den Zylinderkopf (17) eingeschlossen ist. Der Verbbrennungsvorgang bleibt nach erfolgter Zündung aufrechterhalten.
