1. A device for performing remelting processes with consumable electrodes (12), comprising an electrode carriage (1) which can be raised and lowered, provided with a measuring device having at least one load cell (15) for determining the respective electrode weight, and which comprises an electrode holder by way of which the current supply is conducted to the electrode, characterized in that the electrode holder (11) is disposed on a lever (6) which is connected to the electrode carriage (1) by way of a pivot shaft (5, 5') extending transversely to the longitudinal axis of the electrode (12), and a load cell (15) is supported on the one hand on the lever (6, 6') and on the other hand on the electrode carriage (1), where appropriate by way of components connected thereto.

Bei Umschmelzverfahren mit selbstverzehrenden Elektroden, z.B. aus Stahl, sind Einrichtungen mit einem heb- und senkbaren und einer mindestens eine Kraftmessdose (15) aufweisenden Messeinrichtung zur Bestimmung des jeweiligen Elektrodengewichtes versehenen Elektrodenwagen mit einer Elektrodenhalterung, über den die Stromzuleitung zur Elektrode geführt ist, bekannt. Eine wesentlich genauere Gewichtsbestimmung kann dann erreicht werden, wenn die Elektrodenhalterung (11) an einem über eine quer zur Längsachse der Elektrode (12) verlaufende Drehachse (5, 5') mit dem Elektrodenwagen (1) verbundenen Hebel (6) angeordnet ist, und die Kraftmessdose (15) einerseits an dem Hebel (6, 6') und andererseits an dem Elektrodenwagen (1), gegebenenfalls unter Zwischenschaltung eines Haltebolzens (14) abgestützt ist, wobei die Stromzuleitung zur Elektrode (12) vorzugsweise, wie an sich bekannt ist, über zwei parallel geschaltete und in gleichen Abständen von der Kraftmessdose (15) verlaufende Leitung (4) erfolgt.
