A method of manufacturing footwear inflated pneumatically at different pressures in its different regions, in which is used a rough shape made of an assembly of cavities (12 to 22) communicating with each other via passages of reduced section (6) and connected to at least one inflating nipple (11), wherein the rough shape is inflated at the required pressure for the cavity which is the most remote from the nipple and said cavity is isolated by closing the passages which set it in communication with the other cavities of the rough shape and the operation is repeated successively for each cavity which is still not inflated and which is the most remote from the inflating nipple by modifying the pressure until all the cavities are inflated to the required pressure and isolated.
