Abstract (en)
An end fitting for grinding/polishing consists of a backing disc with burrs and a second disc with grinding material on one side and a fabric on the other for the burrs to grip. The burrs are cast in one piece with the first disc; the grinding material is bonded in a synthetic resin or adhesive directly on to the fabric which is sealed off by a suitable treatment and engaged by the burrs. The main disc (1) is made of polyurethane and is cast in one piece with burrs (4) which engage the back of the second disc (2). This main disc (1) is covered by Patent DE32415036. The second disc (2) consists of a fabric which is finished suitably e.g. calendered so that a coating of liquid synthetic resin does not penetrate through it. The treatment also increases the tear strength of the fabric during service. The abrasive or grinding particles in the second disc (2) are bonded on its front side by embedding in a phenolic resin. The fitting can withstand application under pressure and high temps., it is simple and inexpensive and is safe for operators.

Vorsatzteil für Schleif- und Poliermaschinen, welches aus einer Kletthaken (4) aufweisenden Tragscheibe (1) und einer das Schleifmittel (6) auf der einen und ein Gewebe (5) zum Eingriff der Kletthaken (4) auf der anderen Seite aufweisenden Arbeitsscheibe (2) besteht mit der Kombination, daß einerseits die Kletthaken (4) mit dem Material der Tragscheibe (1) einstückig sind und andererseits das Schleifmittel (6) mit einem Kunstharzbindemittel oder Leim unmittelbar auf die mit einer passenden Appretur versiegelte Gewebeschicht (5) des Klettverschlusses aufgebracht ist.
