In a decorative plastic for coating base materials 1, 2 with a relief-type embossed surface, said surface consists of an overlay paper 41 soaked in resin. The overlay paper is printed with a pattern and the relief-type surface (22) has a design (23, 24) which conforms to the pattern. The decorative plastic is glued to the base material and the resin adheres directly to the base material. The associated process is characterised in that the overlay paper is printed with a pattern and subsequently soaked in a resin, and in that the embossing is undertaken so as to conform to the pattern in conjunction with the base materials. <IMAGE>

Bei einem Dekorkunststoff zum Beschichten von Trägermaterialien 1,2 mit einer reliefartig geprägten Oberfläche besteht diese aus einem mit Hart getränkten Overlay-Papier 41. Das Overlay-Papier ist mit einem Druckmuster bedruckt und die reliefartige Oberfläche (22) weist eine dem Druckmuster konforme Gestaltung auf (23,24). Der Dekorkunststoff ist mit dem Trägermaterial verleimt und das Hart haftet unmittelbar auf dem Trägermaterial. Das zugehörige Verfahren kennzeichnet sich dadurch, daß das Overlay-Papier mit einem Druckmuster bedruckt und anschließend mit einem Harz getränkt wird und daß die Prägung im Verbund mit den Trägermaterialien konform mit dem Druckmuster vorgenommen wird.
