[origin: EP0095601A2] The counter-pressure filling device for filling casks or the like with liquids containing carbon dioxide possesses a filling member (3) having gas and liquid channels for connection to lines for the liquid to be introduced and for the feed and return gas. In order to obtain a slow pressure reduction, a valve (11) controlling the rise of the liquid is located in the return-gas line (4, 10). According to the invention, this valve is coupled to an actuating drive (12) and can be set at a counter-pressure matching the pressure in the liquid line and controlled in such a way that the counter-pressure in the return gas line is slowly reduced at a preselectable time interval as the liquid rises.
