La présente invention est relative à des prefectionnements apportés aux installations pour l'essorage de matières fibreuses ou poreuses. Cette installation comprend en combinaison une essoreuet un porte-matière apte à recevoir au moins une pile de bobines de matières fibreuses ou poreuses, notamment un portematière formé d'une pluralité de supports adaptés pou recevoir chacun une pile de bobines, disposés suivant au moins une curonne autour d'un axe commun constitué par un caisson central, laquelle installation est caractérisée en ce que ladite essoreuse est équipée d'un panier (11) comprenant une pluralité d'alvéoles (22) ou analogues propres à recevoir, chacun, une pile de bobines portée par un support du porte-matière, en ce que lesdits supports sont conçus pour se loger chacun dans un alvéole (22) du panier (11) de l'essoreuse et en ce que l'axe commun autour duquel lesdits supports sont disposés en couronne est constitué par un caisson central creux (21) apte à s'encastrer dans le pivot central de l'essoreuse centrifuge.
