Abstract (en)

Low adherency wound dressings are described which consist essentially of a laminate of an intermediate absorbent layer formed from a conformable hydrophilic foam between two outer layers of conformable, elastically exensible nets. The nets are coextensive with the absorbent layer and preferably have the same construction so that either outer layer may comprise the wound contacting layer. The nets are suitably formed from a polyurethane elastomer. Materials for use in the dressings and processes for manufacture of the dressings are also described.
