Fitting for a push-and-tilt panel (3) of a window, a door or the like and which can be tilted and subsequently set in an open position, with a three-position gear mechanism (8) for displacement of at least one drive rod which carries locking members (13) out of the locking position and into the unlocking and tilting position, characterised in that connected to the drive rod, which forms a main drive rod (10), through an interposed dead travel path (22), there is an auxiliary drive rod (24) and in that upon the transition from locking to unlocking position, the dead travel path is surmounted, while upon onwards movement into the tilt position the auxiliary drive rod (24) is also displaced and in that an onwardly extending drive rod (25) which is connected to the auxiliary drive rod (24) carries at least one securing bolt (30) which, in the tilt position of the three-position gear mechanism, can be unlocked by means of the auxiliary mechanism (9) which is coupled only to the auxiliary drive rod.
