Eine Elektrokochplatte (11m) hat einen Kochplattenkörper (12m) mit einer geschlossenen Kochfläche (13) aus Sintermaterial auf Eisenbasis mit Zusätzen anderer Metalle. Der aus Sintermaterial bestehende Kochplattenkörper (12m) hat viele schmale und flache Nuten an seiner Unterseite, in die ein ungewendelter, leicht gewellter Heizdraht (17m) eingelegt ist. Bei einer Variante besteht das Heizelement aus einem Band (17m).
