Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0100125A2] Aqueous homogeneous liquid detergent compositions containing additive levels of alkylcellulose and carboxymethylcellulose and a mixture of anionic and nonionic surface-active agents are disclosed. The compositions have a pH in the neutral to mildly alkaline range. The alkylcellulose/carboxymethylcellulose is present as a coacervate capable of forming, in combination with the surfactants, a network of loosely associated droplets. This network is tridimensional and provides means for stably and homogeneously suspending detergent components/additives which otherwise could not be incorporated, particularly ingredients which are substantially insoluble in the liquid compositions.
