[origin: EP0100204A1] An applicator for creams and viscous liquids has a domed perforate cap (24) which will deform inwardly when used to apply the viscous material but which will subsequently resume its original shape, leaving an air space within the yet-to-be dispensed material close to the cap (24) to accommodate changes in volume of the material in the container on temperature of pressure changes.
