[origin: US4553312A] A device for removing a band (2) wrapped around a bundle (1) of sheets by means of a cutting device (11). The cutter (7) of the cutting device is arranged on the plane on which the bundle is transported in such a way that it dips into a side face of the bundle, cutting along the entire length of the bundle and thereby severing the band located at right angles to the side face. The severed band (2) is grasped on the side opposite the cutting by a hook (13) of a pull-off device (12) provided opposite the cutting device (11), and removed at right angles to the direction in which the bundle (1) is transported.

Vorrichtung zum Entfernen einer um ein Blattbündel (1) gewickelten Banderole (2) mit Hilfe einer Schneideinrichtung (11). Das Messer (7) der Schneideinrichtung ist in der Ebene, in der das Bündel transportiert wird, derart angeordnet, daß es, in eine Stoßkante des Bundes eintauchend, über die gesamte Länge des Bündels schneidet und dabei die quer zur Stoßkante verlaufende Banderole durchtrennt. Die aufgeschnittene Banderole (2) wird mit einer gegenüber der Schneideinrichtung (11) vorgesehenen Abzieheinrichtung (12) an der dem Schnitt gegenüberliegenden Seite von einem Haken (13) erfaßt und quer zur Transportrichtung des Bündels (1) entfernt.
