Abstract (en)
In the known travelling-wave tubes, the helical delay line is held in a vacuum sleeve with the aid of dielectric retaining rods. The manufacture of such delay lines is costly and the heat conduction from the helix to the vacuum sleeve is relatively poor. These disadvantages are overcome according to the invention in that a metallic tube (2) is mounted inside a hollow-cylindrical ceramic body (1), in which tube (2) there is cut such a thread that a helix (3) is produced with a desired helix cross-section, and in that the hollow cylindrical ceramic body (1) is surrounded by a metallic vacuum sleeve (6). <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Bei den bekannten Wanderfeldröhren ist die wendelförmige Verzögerungsleitung mit Hilfe von dielektrischen Haltestäben in einer Vakuumhülle gehalten. Die Herstellung solcher Verzögerungsleitungen ist aufwendig und die Wärmeleitung von der Wendel zur Vakuumhülle relativ schlecht. Diese Nachteile werden erfindungsgemäß dadurch behoben, daß im Inneren eines hohlzylindrischen Keramikkörpers (1) ein metallisches Rohr (2) befestigt wird, in das ein solches Gewinde eingeschnitten wird, daß eine Wendel (3) mit einem gewünschten Wendel-Querschnitt entsteht und daß der hohlzylindrische Keramikkörper (1) von einer metallischen Vakuumhülle (6) umgeben wird.
