Security mast foot for a wind-surf board, comprising a foot body (4) insertible into an aperture in the upper side of the surfboard, which foot body is provided with a head portion (2) which can be brought in position onto the upper side of the board as well as with a wedge body (3) which can be arranged with respect to the foot body such that its side opposing the wall of the insertion aperture may be brought in strong clamping contact with the wall in such a manner that the wedge body is pivotally mounted at its lower end opposing to the upper wall of the surfboard within the foot body and about a fixed, horizontal axis (8) in the direction of the wall of the insertion aperture (13) and is pressed by means of spring (15) against that wall, characterized in that the wedge body (3) is provided with several parallel ribs (15) positioned distantly adjacent to one another on the surface (14) opposing to the wall (9) of the insertion aperture (13), which ribs extend in the direction of insertion of the wedge body (3) and which are confronted on the wall (9) with several parallel grooves (16) positioned distantly adjacent to one another in longitudinal direction of the board, which grooves can be engaged with the ribs (15) and further characterized in that the wedge body is movable to leave its clamping position in which the ribs (15) are engaged with the grooves (16) against the effect of the spring (5) by means of a foot lever (10) contacting the upper end (11) of the wedge body and extending at least partly over the upper side (7) of the surfboard.
