[origin: US4555967A] Machine intended for cutting out transversely, along a straight or broken, oblique or right-angled cutting line, a band material adapted to be fed parallel to its length. This machine has in combination, a device to unwind the band at constant linear speed from a reel and a second device to, firstly, advance the unwound band at constant linear speed from a fixed plane support which extends at least from the second device into proximity of the cutting system, and secondly, permit an edge of the band to be applied against a lateral edge guide. Use of this machine includes cutting of pieces from flexible compound material.

Machine destinée à découpée transversalement, suivant une ligne de coupe rectiligne ou brisée, oblique ou orthogonale, une matière en bande (8) susceptible d'être avancée parallèlement à sa longueur. Selon l'invention, cette machine comporte en combinaison des premiers moyens (15) pour dévider à vitesse linéaire constante ladite bande (8) d'une bobine (7) et des seconds moyens (16) pour, d'une part, avancer à vitesse linéaire constante ladite bande (8) dévidée sur un support plan fixe (11) qui s'étend au moins desdits seconds moyens (16) jusqu'au voisinage du système de coupe (17) et, d'autre part, permettre d'appliquer un bord de ladite bande (8) contre un guide-lisière latéral (31). Découpe de pièces en matière composite souple.
