1. Appliance for hair cutting and hair care by singeing, comprising a metal wire or strip (4) capable of being made incandescent, of a length between approximately 3 and 20 cm, retained at each of its ends by two fasteners fixed to a support (1), at least one of which is flexible and ensures a substantially constant tension of the wire or strip, whatever its temperature, characterized in that the fasteners consist of a pin (13, 13') engaging into a female socket, one (12) of which is stationary and fixed to the support (1), whilst the other (12') is mounted on a sliding rod (20) guided by a sleeve (21), parallel to the wire (4) and subjected to the action of a spring (22) which tends to move it away from the stationary socket (12) thus ensuring the tension of the wire.

L'appareil à main comporte un fil ou une lame métallique (4) susceptible d'être porté à incandescence par courant électrique, de longueur comprise entre 3 et 20cm environ, maintenu à chacune de ses extrémités par deux attaches (3, 6) solidaires d'un support (1), dont l'une au moins (6, 13) est flexible et assure une tension sensiblement constante du fil ou de la lame quelle que soit sa température. En combinaison avec un peigne (10, 26, 27), l'appareil sert à couper les cheveux par brûlage.
