In a rig for sail boards having an unstayed mast which is freely rotatable and pivotable in all directions and has a boom attached to the mast, and having a sail which is held tensioned between mast and boom, the aerodynamic properties and handling when raising the sail can be improved in that the sail surface above the boom is opened by a slit (1a) running from top to bottom, and the aft part of the front surface bellies out, in relation to the buff of the rear surface, and is self-turning with respect to the buff of the rear surface. <IMAGE>

An einem Rigg für ein Segelbrett mit einem unverstagten allseitig frei dreh- und schwenkbaren Mast mit einem am Mast befestigten Gabelbaum und mit einem zwischen Mast und Gabelbaum aufgespannt gehaltenen Segel lassen sich die aerodynamischen Eigenschaften sowie die Handhabung beim Segelaufholen verbessern, indem die Segelfläche oberhalb des Gabelbaumes durch einen von oben nach unten verlaufenden Schlitz (1a) geöffnet ist und der achterliche Teil der vorderen Fläche bezogen auf das Vorliek der hinteren Flache ausgebaucht und zum Vorliek der hinteren Fläche selbstwendend ist.
