An embankment element made from a frame open downwards and upwards, formed by a front wall and a rear wall (1, 2), as well as side walls (3, 4), characterized in that the front wall (1) does, at least on the inner side of the element slope outwards from the bottom towards the top so that the element flares at its front wall towards the upper opening (5) in the manner of a funnel and that on the top of the side walls (3, 4), provision is made for two individual cheeks (7, 8) acting as stops which are, moreover formed in the zone of the enlarged upper opening of the element as lateral boundaries for the ground to be filled in.
