[origin: US4486233A] A nickel and/or cobalt chemical plating bath comprises: a salt of the metal(s) to be deposited; one or more complexing agents of said metal(s), a reducing agent based on boron or phosphorous; and a stabilizing agent. To avoid including sources of corrosion and/or toxic substances in the plating, the stabilizing agent comprises a water soluble organic compound which possesses a readily accessible electron pair, and which does not include any metal or metalloid from group IIIa (other than boron or aluminum), IVa (other than carbon), Va (other than nitrogen or phosphorous), VIa (other than oxygen), or VIIa (other than fluorine or chlorine).

L'invention concerne un bain pour dépôt chimique de nickel et/ou de cobalt, comprenant un sel du métal (ou des métaux) à déposer un ou plusieurs complexants de ce métal (ou de ces métaux), un réducteur à base de bore ou de phosphore et un stabilisant. Selon l'invention, le stabilisant est un composé soluble dans l'eau ne comprenant ni soufre ni métal lourd et possédant un doublet électronique facilement accessible, de préférence choisi parmi les hétérocycles à caractère aromatique comprenant un ou plusieur hétéroatoms d'azote et/ou d'oxygène. De tels bains peuvent être utilisés pour le revêtement de pièces travaillant à haute température et dans l'industrie alimentaire.
